We are looking for a Digital Communications Manager to join a national governing body based in central London.
As the Digital Communications Manager you will take ownership of all digital channels and oversee the digital and social media presence for the organisation, maximizing the effectiveness of their digital communications. This involves creating and sharing digital content, updating social media and website materials, planning and executing campaigns, tracking and assessing the impact across digital platforms, and providing support to the Director of Communications as needed.
Key responsibilities
Digital and social media management
- Work closely with the Director of Communications to plan and implement a multi-channel communications strategy across all digital channels.
- Create and deliver digital, video, audio and print content and assets.
- Ensure and manage the brand identity across all digital channels.
- Produce reports and updates for senior stakeholders and members as necessary.
- Advise senior colleagues on digital innovation and advances that may improve digital work in the future.
Other communications and management
- Assist with the creation and delivery of internal and membership content to ensure the effective communication of the organisation’s work for members.
- Assist with drafting press releases, blogs and other content as necessary.
- Work with the Director of Communications to identify new strategies and techniques to promote and enhance the reputation and positive profile of the organisation and its members.
- Develop appropriate responses to media enquiries, and as required be the “out of hours” contact for media and communications. Including responding to urgent issues as they occur.
Internal and external relations
- Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with members, the media and other external stakeholders, including journalists and influencers.
- Work with the wider team to support the effective delivery of internal communication of workstreams from the strategic plan, including the wider use of digital channels and social media.
