Overview
Crone Corkill are assisting a technology consultancy as they hire a Conversational AI Specialist on a permanent basis. This role could also be considered as a Lead or Architect position, so please apply if you feel suitable. The ideal candidate will provide conversational AI solutioning expertise, with experience using IVRs (ideally Cisco) being desirable. There is a focus on application level experience in addition to implementation, particularly with Cisco IVR systems in contact centre or customer service environments. The role supports modernising customer interactions by migrating from legacy IVR to intelligent, natural language-driven experiences. An understanding of enterprise system design and AI/Machine Learning enabled voice applications is ideal.

What will you do as a Conversational AI Specialist?
- Collaborate with other Architects to define end-to-end architecture for conversational AI voice solutions, including intent capture, caller ID, natural language processing, text-to-speech and orchestration layers
- Partner with product owners, engineers and conversational designers to translate requirements into scalable designs
- Make architectural decisions on Cloud-native, microservices and API-first frameworks
- Own application-level architectural design for conversational voice experiences
- Design voice-based enterprise applications
What skills do you need as a Conversational AI Specialist?
- Strong background in contact center platforms (CCaaS/IVR) and conversational AI/NLP technologies
- Experience with Cloud platforms (ideally AWS)
- Proficiency in microservices, APIs and event-driven design
- Familiarity with speech recognition, text-to-speech, dialog orchestration and AI/ML pipelines
