We are supporting our client with the hire of a Senior Events Manager on a full-time contract basis, joining their EMEA Events team. This is a highly visible role focused purely on event strategy and execution. You will lead a portfolio of local and regional client events across EMEA and, at times, contribute to larger global programmes, delivering exceptional experiences for one of the world's most prestigious financial institutions.
You will play a critical role in shaping and delivering best-in-class client events across EMEA, working as part of a close-knit, collaborative events team where shared ownership and proactive communication are key. This is a hands-on role that blends strategy, creativity and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with the Head of Events and senior team members to develop and deliver an events strategy aligned to business goals
- Designing and executing high-touch client events in line with brand standards
- Applying deep knowledge of EMEA cities, venues and trends to recommend event formats, locations and experiences
- Managing end-to-end event operations, including calendars, budgets, vendor negotiation, contracts, invoicing and risk/process compliance
- Overseeing on-site delivery, including speaker and VIP management, vendor coordination, registration and AV/presentation requirements
- Managing event communications via the events platform, including invitations, microsites, reminders and post-event follow-ups
- Providing clear, concise updates in team forums and supporting ad-hoc projects as required
You will be a seasoned events professional, comfortable operating at VP level and trusted to deliver complex, high-profile programmes. You will bring:
- 10+ years experience in event management
- Demonstrable strength in event strategy, problem-solving and delivering creative, high-quality solutions
- A highly organised, detail-driven approach, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and event management platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence liaising with senior leadership and managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to prioritise concurrent projects effectively
- A calm, composed and positive mindset, particularly under pressure
- A collaborative, team-first approach communicating early, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues
