Overview

Join our outstanding Outpatients Department within the state‑of‑the‑art Medical Centre, a modern clinical hub designed to deliver seamless, high‑quality patient journeys. Here, we provide exceptional, personalised care across a diverse range of specialist clinics, minor procedures and diagnostic services, supporting both self‑pay and insured patients in a discreet, welcoming environment. As a Staff Nurse you will ensure the provision of high‑quality evidence‑based nursing care in a clinical setting, the Staff Nurse will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for the care they deliver within the Outpatient department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the delivery of a consistent, safe service in all aspects of the patient journey whilst demonstrating a culture of customer service.
  • Manage care of allocated patients.
  • Demonstrate professional awareness and accountability.
  • Maintain requirements to ensure success in the Revalidation process.
  • Act as a Link Nurse in a designated area reporting to and from meetings/training updates.
  • Recognise the needs for DOL's assessments, mental capacity assessment and ‘simple' and ‘complex' safeguarding referrals and highlight any concerns.
  • Liaise with the Support Services to ensure all non-clinical needs are met including the cultural, sexual, religious, and any other special needs of the patients.
  • Have a working knowledge of emergency policies including cardiac arrest and fire.
  • Deputise for the Senior Staff Nurse in their absence.
  • Undertake clinical duties in any area that is reasonably requested ensuring that you practice within your professional competencies and abilities.

Key Skills / Qualifications

  • Registered General Nurse and NMC PIN required.
  • ILS qualification required.
  • Competent with immunisation training, wound care management and venepuncture.
  • Appropriate experience in a Staff Nurse role.
  • Outpatients experience.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal presentation skills & report writing.
  • Pleasant and cheerful manner, being supportive and approachable.
