£46,195-£54,700 per annum + benefits. Full time 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Sunday.

What you will do:
- Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team, participate in patient care assessment, and implement agreed standards of care.
- Assist in positioning and preparation of a patient, ensuring correct labeling and dispatch of specimens to the laboratory.
- Control cross infection by adhering to departmental policy regarding dress, maintaining a clean working environment, decontamination and sterilisation procedures, and asepsis.
- Participate in induction and orientation programmes for new staff.
- Assist team leaders in Personal Development Plans of junior staff.
- Prepare patients for clinical/operative procedures in anaesthetics and surgery.
- Provide assistance in clinical/operative procedures in anaesthetics and surgery.
- Provide immediate post-operative and initial emergency care as required.
- Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner, ensuring safety.
- Ensure all equipment is checked prior to use and report faults to the Theatre Coordinator.
- Participate fully as a team member across all theatre suite areas, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
What you will bring:
- RN – 1st level Registration Adult and/or Children.
- HCPC or NMC registered.
- Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies.
- ODP Level 3 NVQ.
- ODA 752.
