As our Reservations Team Leader, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping a seamless and compassionate patient journey. You'll be the key link between consultants, wards, and our wider hospital teams, ensuring every booking, enquiry, and admission is handled with accuracy, professionalism, and empathy. By leading and inspiring the reservations team, you will help create a smooth, reassuring experience for every patient and support the hospital in delivering outstanding care every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support the Reservations Team while maintaining hospital policies and high service standards.
- Hold regular team meetings, share best practice, and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
- Act as the key contact for consultants, secretaries, and third parties, managing all inpatient enquiries and bookings.
- Coordinate closely with Ward Managers, nurses, and Pre-Admission teams to support bed management, pre-assessments, and admission scheduling.
- Confirm room and theatre availability, prepare daily admissions/theatre lists, and ensure accurate information flow across departments.
- Manage daily booking emails and enter all reservation data into Compucare in real time.
- Deliver clear, professional communication across all channels while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
- Support hospital standards by adhering to Health & Safety, Security, Risk Management practices and completing ad-hoc duties as required.
