Responsibilities

  • Leading, managing, and developing the radiology nursing team.
  • Ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care across all radiological procedures.
  • Creating a positive, high‑performing environment where multidisciplinary teamwork thrives.
  • Overseeing departmental rotas, appraisals, recruitment, performance, and daily operations.
  • Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, CQC standards, radiation protection and infection control.
  • Driving quality improvement initiatives, audits, and service development.
  • Supporting patient concerns, complaints, and service feedback (NPS).
  • Ensuring equipment, resources, and pharmaceutical supplies are efficiently managed.
  • Maintaining robust governance standards and safe working practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Registered Adult Nurse with BSc or working towards NMC Registration (essential)
  • Teaching/assessing qualification (essential)
  • Current ILS (Immediate Life Support) certificate (essential)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Radiology nursing or equivalent (desirable)

About the Cromwell Hospital

The Cromwell Hospital is a major international private hospital in West London receiving both UK and international patients. We are committed to providing the highest quality healthcare outpatient and inpatient service care. The hospital has 180 beds and 4 suites, theatres, medical and surgical wards, cardiac centre, CDU, level 2 and 3 full intensive care facilities, paediatrics, diagnostic services, physiotherapy, a dedicated day surgery unit, and a new cath lab. The radiology department at Cromwell hospital opened its doors in December 2025 with a fully refreshed suite of facilities in the new diagnostic wing of the hospital: Lexham Gardens. Comprising three floors of ultrasound facilities. Our new modern Radiography department is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology to include:

  • Two general X-Ray rooms
  • One fluoroscopy suite, which can also be utilised as an additional X-Ray room
  • One Cone Beam CT scanner
  • One Bone Density scanner with advanced body composition analysis capabilities
  • Two state-of-the-art mobile X-Ray units
  • Four theatre image intensifiers
