Bupa Cromwell Hospital – SW5 0TU (5 mins walk from Earls Court underground or 7 mins walk from Gloucester Road underground)

£46,195-£54,700 per annum + benefits. Full time 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Sunday.

What you will do:

  • Provide skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team, participate in patient care assessment, and implement agreed standards of care.
  • Assist in positioning and preparation of a patient, ensuring correct labeling and dispatch of specimens to the laboratory.
  • Control cross infection by adhering to departmental policy regarding dress, maintaining a clean working environment, decontamination and sterilisation procedures, and asepsis.
  • Participate in induction and orientation programmes for new staff.
  • Assist team leaders in Personal Development Plans of junior staff.
  • Prepare patients for clinical/operative procedures in anaesthetics and surgery.
  • Provide assistance in clinical/operative procedures in anaesthetics and surgery.
  • Provide immediate post‐operative and initial emergency care as required.
  • Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner, ensuring safety.
  • Ensure all equipment is checked prior to use and report faults to the Theatre Coordinator.
  • Participate fully as a team member across all theatre suite areas, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.

What you will bring:

  • RN – 1st level Registration Adult and/or Children.
  • HCPC or NMC registered.
  • Diploma or Degree in Health Care Studies.
  • ODP Level 3 NVQ.
  • ODA 752.
