The section lead needs to champion team members to provide an exceptional customer experience, be involved in process development and standardisation, and drive all customer, process, and financial metrics. The objective is to drive engagement and develop, create, and maintain a culture of safety. Role Responsibilities Drive a culture of safety by ensuring that team members are aware of and understand their responsibility for themselves and others, by role modelling safe behaviours and identifying and reporting risks and opportunities for improvement in safe working practices. Lead team members to ensure performance meets or exceeds our service promise to customers, and expectations of productivity and quality. Coach & mentor team members on performance, safety, and quality. Ensure compliance to SOP/Standard work and participate in audits. Ensure duties within your responsibility are conducted to standards and completed timely, resolving issues through departmental procedures knowledge. Utilise warehouse process knowledge to resolve daily issues efficiently. Coordinate with warehouse management to ensure operational tasks are covered and meet service levels. Support leadership in goal setting, day-to-day operations, resource planning, and team communication. Maintain compliance with quality, legal, and ethical standards. Ensure high standards of warehouse housekeeping and asset maintenance. Report progress on objectives and participate in improvement projects. Participate in talent review processes. Contribute to warehouse budgeting including staffing, equipment, and maintenance expenses. Process/Innovations Participate in projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Promote a culture of continuous improvement involving all team members, aiming to enhance safety, processes, engagement, and financial goals. Key Performance Measures Reduce incidents through a “don’t walk by” culture and near miss reporting. Deliver on quality metrics with a customer-obsessed approach. Manage cost per line effectively.
