Requirement: • SACT-trained Registered Nurse • Relevant nursing experience • CV • References x 2 • DBS • Up-to-date mandatory training • Ability to work Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 Description: We are currently recruiting an experienced SACT Trained Registered Nurse to work on a long-term agency assignment at the Nick Jonas Unit, Royal Hampshire County Hospital (RHCH), Winchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably experienced nurse to work within a specialist oncology/haematology setting, supporting the delivery of systemic anti-cancer treatment (SACT) and providing high-quality patient-centred care. Key Responsibilities: • Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients receiving SACT • Administer systemic anti-cancer treatments in accordance with local policies and clinical guidelines • Monitor patients before, during and after treatment • Recognise and respond appropriately to treatment-related side effects and complications • Undertake clinical assessments and monitor patients' conditions • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation • Provide patient education, advice and emotional support • Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team • Follow infection prevention and control procedures • Ensure medicines are administered safely and in accordance with relevant policies • Escalate clinical concerns appropriately • Maintain professional standards and patient confidentiality • Contribute to a safe, effective and patient-centred clinical environment Requirements: • Current NMC Registered Nurse status • SACT/chemotherapy trained and experienced • Relevant oncology/haematology nursing experience • Experience administering systemic anti-cancer treatments • Good knowledge of SACT safety procedures and clinical protocols • Ability to recognise and manage SACT-related complications • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team • Up-to-date mandatory training • Enhanced DBS • Available to work Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:00
