We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Room Leader / Senior Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly and supportive nursery team on a 4‑month temporary contract.
As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of your designated nursery room, ensuring children receive high‑quality care in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day‑to‑day running of a nursery room.
- Deliver high‑quality care and early years education in line with the EYFS Framework.
- Plan and implement engaging, age‑appropriate learning activities.
- Monitor children's development and maintain accurate observations and learning records.
- Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding of all children at all times.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Essential Requirements
- Level3 Qualification in Childcare and Education (or equivalent).
- Valid Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
- Safeguarding Training.
- 3–5 years’ experience working within nursery or childcare settings.
- Previous experience as a Room Leader or in a senior childcare role.
- Good understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
