We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Band 7 Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) to join our Minor Injury Unit (MIU) / Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality autonomous care to patients presenting with minor injuries and urgent care needs within a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently assess, diagnose, treat, and discharge patients presenting to the MIU/UTC.
- Manage a wide range of minor injuries and urgent presentations in line with local and national clinical guidelines.
- Request and interpret appropriate investigations where required.
- Provide safe, effective, and patient-centred care while maintaining accurate clinical documentation.
- Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient flow and high standards of care.
- Escalate and refer patients appropriately when required.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
- Band 7 ENP experience within Minor Injury Units (MIU) and/or Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC).
- Previous experience working autonomously in urgent care settings.
- Smartcard and SystmOne access/experience.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
Desirable Requirements
- Independent Prescribing qualification.
- Previous experience working within our MIU/UTC services.
- RED DOT qualification/experience.
- IMRER qualification/experience.
Additional Information: Flexible shift patterns available depending on service requirements. Candidates with previous experience in similar NHS urgent care settings will be highly regarded.
