Job Summary:

We are urgently seeking skilled and compassionate Chemotherapy Nurses to join our agency pool for NHS hospital placements across the Midlands. This role involves the safe administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) to oncology and haematology patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You must be SACT-competent (e.g., UKONS passport) and have a minimum of 6 months’ recent NHS experience in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and other systemic cancer treatments according to NHS and UKONS protocols
  • Monitor, assess and respond to patient needs and side effects during treatment
  • Collaborate with oncology consultants, pharmacists and other clinical staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
  • Follow all infection control and patient safety policies
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and families
  • Escalate any clinical concerns appropriately

Requirements:

  • Valid NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Minimum 6 months’ NHS experience in the UK
  • Chemotherapy/SACT training & competency (e.g., UKONS SACT Passport)
  • Strong knowledge of oncology or haematology care
  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Up-to-date mandatory training and immunisation records
