The Bridles is a new state‑of‑the‑art care home built for the future, offering residential, nursing and specialist dementia care. Located in Wincanton, the home features superior design, interior finishes, smart technology and thoughtful spaces to create connection and comfort.

Responsibilities

  • Day‑to‑day responsibility for running a unit
  • Supporting clinical duties, including assisting the nurse with observation, medication administration, care plan review and accurate record keeping
  • Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants, including responsibility for all shift handovers
  • Helping with training and supervision of new staff members so they feel welcomed and supported
  • Building relationships with residents, their families and external teams such as GPs and District Nurses
  • Assisting residents with a range of personal care duties

Qualifications

  • Completed or working towards an NVQ3 in care (Bupa will support completion if needed)
  • Motivated, positive and possessing strong interpersonal skills, enjoying working in a close‑knit team and pivotal in running a unit with the Nurse on clinical duties
  • Previous experience in a similar role with an understanding of its rewards and challenges and a passion for making a real difference to people’s lives, providing kindness, personalised support and dignity
