As a Bank Radiology Staff Nurse, you'll work as part of a close‐knit team providing patient‐focused care. You'll be a caring and compassionate nurse, delivering a high standard of care to our patients. We value all our people and will provide you support and a great place to work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, evidence‐based nursing care within the ultrasound clinic.
  • Assist radiologists during ultrasound/X‐ray/CT‐guided procedures, such as biopsies, FNA, drain and PICC line insertions.
  • Assist radiologist during ultrasound clinics.
  • Perform patient observations pre‐ and post‐procedure as required.
  • Recognise and escalate clinical deterioration promptly.
  • Ensure completion of the WHO safety checklist where applicable.
  • Maintain infection prevention and control standards.
  • Work collaboratively with radiologists, sonographers and administrative staff.
  • Complete accurate nursing documentation in line with local policy.
  • Adhere to organisational policies and professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Registered General Nurse and NMC PIN required.
  • Demonstrated nursing experience within a Radiology, Endoscopy, Outpatients, or Pre‐Assessment hospital setting.
  • Experience supporting services such as Breast Clinic, Ultrasound, MSK, and Gynaecology.
  • Ability to assist with and support simple Interventional Radiology (IR) cases.
  • Pleasant and cheerful manner, being supportive and approachable.

Shift Information

Monday to Friday 08:00 am – 20:00 hrs and Saturday 08:00 am – 14:00 hrs. Pay £28.20 per hour.

Location

Lexham Gardens, 1A Lexham Gardens, London (W8 5JJ). The radiology department is located in the new diagnostic wing of Cromwell Hospital, offering three floors of ultrasound facilities, X‐ray, a fluoroscopy suite, DEXA and a women's health unit.
