The hospital has 180 beds and 4 suites, theatres, medical and surgical wards, cardiac centre, CDU, level 2 and 3 full intensive care facilities, paediatrics, diagnostic services, physiotherapy, a dedicated day surgery unit, and a new cath lab.
About The Role
As the Cath Lab Radiographer you’ll maintain a high standard of imaging and patient care in accordance with the departmental and hospital quality standards. Ideally you will have recent proven experience working in a Cath Lab, and demonstrate a keen interest in a career in this clinical field. You’ll be responsible for:
- Maintain a high standard of imaging and patient care in accordance with the departmental and hospital quality standards.
- Perform all types of IR, cardiac and neuro procedures as required by referring Physicians according to departmental policies and procedures including angiogram and cerebral aneurism embolization.
- Demonstrate significant evidence of cardiac expertise and angiographic knowledge to meet the expectations of the interventional consultants.
- Ensure that a high-quality service is provided by monitoring standards for patient care, technical performance, and reporting.
- Accurately analyse the acquired data, record results and produce high quality images for reporting.
- Participate in a Quality Assurance programme for equipment, processing and Radiation Protection, maintaining accurate records and reporting problems to the Radiation Protection Supervisor.
- Be prepared to train and work in both single plane and biplane Angiographic Studies.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- Angiography specific radiology qualification/certificate (desirable)
- Relevant post-grad experience in an Angiography Lab (essential)
