About the Department
The Radiology department at Cromwell Hospital is newly established with the latest technology, offering a professional working environment and opportunities for development.
Key equipment includes:
- One fluoroscopy suite (also usable as an additional X‑Ray room)
- One Cone Beam CT scanner
- One Bone Density scanner with advanced body composition analysis
- Four theatre image intensifiers
Key Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Superintendent Radiographer as appropriate.
- Work flexible hours when required to accommodate changing MRI workload patterns.
- Provide high‑quality examinations as required by referring physicians in line with departmental policies and procedures, ensuring a high standard of patient care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and report all incidents.
- Develop and maintain staff rotas to ensure appropriate coverage and supervise staff training in the respective scanner.
- Ensure compliance with Local Rules on radiation protection (IRMER 2017), the Ionising Radiations Regulations 1999, and MHRA Safety Guidelines.
