As a Finance Business Partner, you'll play a pivotal role in connecting finance with operational and clinical teams, providing the insight, challenge, and support needed to drive informed decision-making and sustainable growth.
Working closely with leaders across the business, you'll ensure financial thinking is embedded into everyday operations, helping to maximise performance, improve efficiency, and support the delivery of outstanding patient care.
You'll be a visible and trusted partner, influencing strategic decisions, shaping new services, and ensuring opportunities for growth and investment are underpinned by robust financial analysis, control and planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational and clinical leaders to improve financial performance and support business objectives.
- Provide financial insight and challenge to support effective decision-making.
- Monitor KPIs, identifying risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Build business cases, investment appraisals, and financial models to support growth initiatives.
- Support capacity planning, service development, and operational efficiency projects.
- Work collaboratively across departments to ensure new services and projects are commercially viable and that supporting financial processes are in place.
- Contribute to change and transformation projects, tracking financial impact and benefits realisation.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance reporting.
- Deliver financial guidance and training to non-finance stakeholders.
- Build trusted relationships across the organisation, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Key Skills / Qualifications
- 5+ years qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Proven Finance Business Partnering experience within a complex organisation.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial modelling and business case development.
- Experience supporting business change, transformation, or project delivery.
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Healthcare experience is desirable, although candidates from other regulated sectors are welcome.
- Collaborative, accountable, and committed to continuous improvement.
