The predicted salary is between 31650 - 43607 £ per year.
The successful applicants will be part of a dedicated school team working with teaching staff and teaching assistants in providing guidance, support and education for pupils. This may include support in lessons, personal care, therapy and communication programmes within both small group and individual situations.
All applicants should be willing to work with any class throughout the school and sixth form. We are seeking to employ positive, enthusiastic people whose personal attributes will contribute to a team of staff fully committed to ‘going the extra mile’ for our pupils’ needs.
It is essential that the successful applicants will have experience in either a paid, voluntary or in a personal capacity, and be able to demonstrate:
- Performing a caring/supportive role alongside supporting learning
- The physical ability to continue to support secondary aged pupils through periods of challenging behaviour strictly following the principles and procedures of the school’s training programme (which prioritises avoidance of this need)
- Successful experience of team work.
Experience of working in an educational environment and/or with people with learning difficulties is desirable but not essential. Please note that Cromwell High School has the highest standards of child protection and that this post is exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exemptions) Order 1975 and all candidates will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
