As our new Inside Sales Account Manager, you'll play a key role in growing our business by developing customer relationships, identifying new opportunities and providing solutions that deliver real value. Through proactive conversations with both existing and prospective customers, you'll uncover their needs and help them get the most from Cromwell's extensive range of products and services.

You'll manage your own sales activity, balancing new business development with growing existing customer accounts and working towards clear revenue and gross profit targets. If you're commercially driven, confident speaking with customers and enjoy the buzz of turning opportunities into long‑term relationships, we'd love to hear from you.

Some of your key responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities while growing sales within existing customer accounts.
  • Build strong customer relationships, understanding their requirements and recommending cost‑effective solutions.
  • Manage your sales activity to achieve and exceed agreed revenue and gross profit targets.
  • Follow up opportunities, confidently handle objections and convert conversations into sustainable, long‑term business.
  • Promote Cromwell's value proposition, products and services to demonstrate how we can support our customers.
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records, ensuring opportunities and interactions are effectively managed.

What do I need to be successful in this role?

  • Previous experience within a telephone‑based, target‑driven sales environment.
  • A proven ability to work towards and achieve sales targets and KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the confidence to engage customers over the phone.
  • Strong customer service skills with a solutions‑focused approach.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities to grow customer accounts.
  • A proactive, resilient and organised approach with the motivation to achieve results.

Experience within the Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) or industrial distribution market would be advantageous, but isn't essential.

What's in it for me?

  • A competitive salary alongside a monthly commission scheme that rewards your success.
  • Enhanced employer pension contribution.
  • 20 days annual leave entitlement plus Bank Holidays. We also offer the opportunity to purchase additional annual leave should you need a little extra time.
  • Enhanced Maternity & Paternity pay to support you and your family during life's important moments.
  • A company‑funded Healthcare Cash Plan, giving you access to everyday healthcare benefits.
  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), providing confidential support whenever you need it.
  • Additional benefits including Cycle to Work, Company Sick Pay, employee discounts and discounted Cromwell products.
