As our new International Credit Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing customer accounts across our international customer base, ensuring the timely collection of payments whilst supporting profitable business growth. Working within our Credit & Risk team, you will take ownership of a customer portfolio, building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to minimise risk and maximise cash collection performance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with collections, credit control or customer account management experience who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment. You will collaborate with colleagues and customers across multiple countries, helping to resolve issues quickly, improve working capital performance and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and proactively maintain an international customer portfolio, ensuring payments are collected in line with agreed payment terms.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to identify and resolve issues that may impact cash collection.
  • Collaborate with international teams to support working capital improvements and optimise collection performance.
  • Take ownership of customer transactions, ensuring accurate cash allocation and timely account management.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customer disputes, driving swift resolution and minimising delays to payment.
  • Deliver against collection targets, reporting requirements and team deadlines whilst maintaining high levels of customer service.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within Credit Control, Collections, Accounts Receivable or a customer‑focused environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills, with the confidence to engage with customers and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to make decisions confidently, taking ownership and accountability for customer accounts.
  • Excellent negotiation and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word.
