Hybrid – Milton Keynes. Our client, a leading organisation within the UK transport sector, is seeking an experienced
Commercial Data Analyst to join their Commercial and Procurement team on an initial 8-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong
Power BI and commercial data analytics expertise, combined with experience analysing procurement and spend data to drive business decisions and procurement efficiencies.
Responsibilities
- Analyse procurement and commercial spend data to identify trends, opportunities and potential risks.
- Produce meaningful insights and recommendations to support sourcing and commercial strategies.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Extract, manipulate and interpret data from multiple sources.
- Work closely with commercial, procurement and business stakeholders to translate data into actionable outcomes.
- Support initiatives to improve procurement performance and identify opportunities for consolidated sourcing activities.
- Proven experience in commercial or procurement data analytics.
- Strong Power BI and data visualisation skills.
- Experience extracting, cleansing and analysing large datasets.
- Ability to interpret complex data and communicate clear commercial insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Previous experience working with procurement or commercial spend data is essential.
- Experience within the transport, infrastructure, public sector or central government.
- Understanding of procurement processes, sourcing and category management.

- Initial 8-month contract (to 31 March 2027)
- BPSS clearance required
