The Role

As Head Pastry Chef, you will have full creative and operational responsibility for the pastry section, delivering elegant, modern desserts that reflect Cromlix's fine-dining standards. You will work closely with the Head Chef and senior kitchen team to ensure pastry is an integral and celebrated part of the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and develop the pastry team to consistently deliver exceptional standards
  • Design and execute refined dessert menus aligned with a fine-dining philosophy
  • Oversee all pastry elements across lunch, dinner, afternoon tea, events, and private dining
  • Maintain the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Manage ordering, stock control, GP, and food safety compliance within your section
  • Contribute creatively to menu development, tastings, and seasonal changes

About You

  • Proven experience as a Head Pastry Chef or Senior Pastry Chef in a fine-dining or luxury hospitality environment
  • Strong technical pastry skills with a modern, elegant approach
  • Experience working at rosette, Michelin-level, or equivalent high-end standards
  • Calm, organised, and confident leader who enjoys mentoring others
  • Passionate about quality, detail, and continuous improvement
