Hours: After School Club: approx. 3:00pm - 5:30/6:00pm, Monday-Friday (flexible days) Holiday Club: during school holidays

Main purpose of the role
Crofton Junior School is looking to recruit enthusiastic and reliable Playworkers / Sports Coaches to join our After School and Holiday Club provision. This role involves supporting and delivering a range of play, creative, and sporting activities for children aged 3-11 years, helping to ensure a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment for all children attending. You will be joining an established and supportive team, working across both term-time after-school provision and school holiday clubs.
Key responsibilities
- Support the safe supervision of children during after-school and holiday club sessions
- Plan and deliver engaging activities including:
- Sports and games
- Arts and crafts
- Play-based activities
- Promote positive behaviour and inclusion
- Support setting up and packing away equipment
- Work effectively as part of a team to maintain a safe and welcoming environment
The successful candidate will:
- Enjoy working with children and as part of a team
- Be friendly, approachable, and reliable
- Have good communication skills with both children and adults
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Be willing to undertake training as required
- Hold a current First Aid qualification or be willing to complete training
Previous experience working with children or in a play, sport, or childcare setting is desirable but not essential. Applicants must be aged 18 or over.
