Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting kitchen operations by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Duties

• Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed.
• Support the cooking staff by preparing food items according to recipes and specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Ensure proper food handling practices are followed to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
• Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager.
• Participate in catering events as required, assisting with setup and serving of food items.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely meal service.

Skills

• Proficiency in cooking techniques and meal preparation methods.
• Experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
• Previous kitchen experience or culinary training is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 30 per week
