Croft Veterinary Centre is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract, provisionally commencing in December 2026. As a proudly independent, family-owned practice, we place clinical freedom, teamwork, and exceptional patient care at the heart of everything we do. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and experienced team delivering high-quality veterinary care to a loyal and engaged client base across our Sheffield and Bolsover sites.
Ideally, we are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with at least four years’ experience who is comfortable with routine surgery and consultations. A particular interest or strength in internal medicine would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
The Role:
- A 12-month fixed-term maternity cover
- Provisionally starting December 2026
- Full-time preferred, although part-time applications will be considered
- Four-day working week with a fixed day off
- Mixture of consultations and surgery
- Opportunity to work cases up to a high standard with continuity of care
- No out-of-hours commitment
- 1 in 5 Saturdays (8:30am - 3:30pm)
- Supported by an experienced team of veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support staff
