Venue Marketing Manager – Community Venues, Croeso Pubs in Cardiff

About Croeso Pubs

We're looking for a passionate Venue Marketing Manager to take ownership of five venues located across Cardiff and the surrounding areas. Each venue has its own personality, customer base and local community. Your role will be to become part of those communities—building relationships, creating engaging content and developing marketing campaigns that increase loyalty, repeat visits and revenue. You’ll regularly travel between venues, working alongside General Managers to ensure every venue is recognised as a destination within its local area.

The Role

You’ll lead the marketing across five community venues, balancing content creation, partnership development and commercial marketing activity. This role is perfect for someone who understands local hospitality and enjoys being out on-site rather than behind a desk.

Key Responsibilities

• Marketing & Campaigns
  • Develop and deliver venue marketing plans.
  • Promote food, drink, entertainment and seasonal campaigns.
  • Drive repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Measure campaign performance and report results.
• Social Media & Content
  • Manage venue social media channels.
  • Respond to customer comments, direct messages and booking enquiries.
  • Capture photography and video content across all venues.
  • Plan and schedule social media content.
  • Showcase venue events and promotions.
• Community Engagement
  • Build relationships with local businesses, schools, sports clubs, charities and community organisations.
  • Develop student engagement initiatives.
  • Support sponsorship opportunities and local events.
  • Build partnerships that increase awareness and bookings.
• Corporate Development
  • Build relationships with local businesses.
  • Promote meeting spaces, private hire and corporate bookings.
  • Support corporate events hosted within your venues.
• Venue Support
  • Work closely with General Managers.
  • Carry out digital and brand health checks.
  • Manage venue digital signage.
  • Support venue marketing activity throughout the year.

Working Pattern

This is a field-based role requiring regular travel between venues across Cardiff and the surrounding areas. You’ll be expected to work Fridays and Saturdays, with occasional later evenings to support live music, major sporting events, entertainment and content creation.

• Has experience in marketing or hospitality.
• Has a genuine passion for pubs and the hospitality industry.
• Has strong knowledge of Cardiff and the surrounding area's hospitality scene.
• Understands what attracts local customers into community venues.
• Has experience creating engaging social media content.
• Has knowledge of promoting:
• Live music
• Food and drink
• Live sport
• Community events
• Has excellent photography and videography skills.
• Enjoys building relationships within local communities.
• Is organised, proactive and commercially minded.
• Is happy travelling between venues.
