Cardiff’s leading live music venue is recruiting for a new General Manager. Croeso Pubs is among the leading independent pub companies in Wales, and Brewhouse is a key business within its portfolio. Following 13 hugely successful years, we are now seeking an exceptional operator to lead the venue into its next phase. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced, ambitious and creative hospitality professional with a passion for live music, nightlife and Cardiff’s cultural scene.

About the Role

The successful candidate will take full operational responsibility for Brewhouse, overseeing all aspects of the business including live entertainment, licensed retail, team leadership, customer experience, compliance and commercial performance.

We are looking for someone who not only understands what makes a successful live music venue, but who also has the vision, energy and commercial awareness to evolve and grow an already well-established business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operation of one of Cardiff’s premier live music venues
• Drive commercial performance through strong financial management and business planning
• Develop and deliver a clear strategic vision for the future of Brewhouse
• Build on the venue’s strong foundations while identifying new opportunities for growth
• Maintain and enhance Brewhouse’s reputation within Cardiff’s live music and nightlife scene
• Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing management and venue team
• Ensure excellent customer experience standards at all times
• Manage compliance, licensing and health & safety requirements
• Work closely with the wider Croeso Pubs leadership team

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience operating a successful live music venue
• A strong understanding of Brewhouse, its customer base and its location
• Excellent knowledge of the Cardiff hospitality and live music scene
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, financial controls, and full P&L responsibility supported by real examples of success
• Creative thinking combined with a strong operational skill-set in licensed retail
• The ability to lead from the front in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong people management and communication skills
• A passion for hospitality, entertainment and delivering memorable customer experiences
