As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we are looking for a Sustainability Specialist to join our team at Cowick to provide specialist information and guidance to support execution of Croda’s sustainability strategy and deliver on our Science Based Targets.

Who We’re Looking For

  • A passion for sustainability and knowledge of key issues and trends
  • Able to interpret & communicate data to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communicator in spoken and written media with good influencing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop internal and external networks, ideally experience in customer engagement
  • Educated to degree level in chemistry or a related discipline
  • Ideally, knowledge on sustainability metrics such as product carbon footprints and decarbonisation roadmaps

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Contribute to and co-ordinate the collection and reporting of relevant ESG data to voluntary and mandatory external organisations and for internal reporting and awareness need
  • The successful candidate will work closely with Science Based Targets Delivery team as part of the Winning Portfolio pillar of the Transformation Office to support execution of our decarbonisation strategy including engagement with suppliers and customers
  • This role will regularly engage with Group and Business Sustainability teams, as well as other sustainability working groups, to share learnings and align approaches

Key Activities Will Include

  • Support analysis of supply chain activity within critical commodity feedstocks to identify and verify low carbon opportunities
  • Identification of product / customer combinations position for decarbonisation trial opportunity
  • Support development of customer facing content in support of decarbonisation trial opportunities
  • Engage with key regional commercial leads to record and track opportunity pipeline
  • Support analysis on Croda’s carbon footprint to develop the roadmap to achieving our 2030 Science Based Targets
