As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a SHE Manager to join our Ditton (Widnes) site, responsible for providing specialist advice and coordinating the safe and efficient operation of the site in respect of SHE management and all relevant regulations as required.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Strong experience in a similar role within chemical/manufacturing industry
- Expert in Occupational Health
- Knowledge of site processes, SHE legislation and industry standards
- You will be an effective communicator, capable of building effective working relationships and producing a high standard of written work
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
- Effective decision making
- You will have proven record of achieving objectives and targets within previous project management experience
- Project management qualification would be advantageous
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ensure compliance to external SHE standards, regulations and legislation
- Monitoring and identifying opportunities to make improvements to SHE performance on site and communicating with all employees as appropriate regarding safety matters
- Maintain a full range of risk control programmes and procedures to minimise risk and manage foreseeable emergencies
- Ownership and development of the SHE management systems
- Setting standards for employee competency, maximising the co-operation of staff with respect to SHE issues and managing risks
- Effectively communicate and influence people at all levels within the site, Group SHE, SHE departments at other sites, auditors, regulators, customers and suppliers
- Detailed reporting through to presentations on broader SHE topics
