A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with strong experience in manufacturing finance, including inventory valuation, standard costing, production accounting and COGS.
A proven track record of owning and improving end-to-end finance processes in a global organisation.
Deep knowledge of ERP systems (ideally SAP) and how manufacturing, supply chain and finance data integrate.
Experience in multi-site or complex manufacturing environments.
The ability to drive standardisation, simplification and automation at scale.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across Finance, Operations and IT and across different cultures.
A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on controls, data integrity and process efficiency.
The confidence to challenge the status quo and lead change.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Owning the global manufacturing accounting process.
- Defining and implementing global process standards across all sites and regions.
- Driving process simplification, automation and data quality improvements.
- Ensuring strong financial controls, compliance and audit readiness.
- Global inventory reporting to the group function at key reporting periods.
- Oversight of the carbon accounting processes at manufacturing sites and globally.
- Partnering with Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Finance teams to improve cost visibility and performance insights.
- Leading global process improvement and transformation initiatives, including system enhancements and ways of working.
- Establishing and tracking KPIs to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Acting as the subject matter expert for manufacturing accounting, providing governance, guidance and support globally.
Additional Information:
This role can be based at any of our UK sites or UK remote. The role will require travel to manufacturing sites and will require use of a car for UK site travel (if based in UK) and willingness to travel globally as required.
