As our business grows, we are seeking a Regional Supply Chain Director to develop and deliver mid to long term supply chain strategies across several manufacturing and distribution facilities across Europe. This role balances strategic, functional, procedural and operational responsibilities, including hands-on delivery of the S&OP process. Collaborating with sector sales teams, you will ensure strategies focus on best in class customer service and satisfaction, aligning with Croda’s vision and ethos with a focus on sustainability across all activities.

  • Experience in a similar role, with regional or global scope, ideally within the manufacturing industry
  • Expert knowledge of best practice in the discipline across multiple sectors
  • Ability to deliver global operational solutions and succeed across functional cultural boundaries
  • Proven track record of creating and managing change successfully
  • Ability to assimilate and process diverse data and information with sound decision making skills
  • Must demonstrate leadership, commitment and tenacity to be effective
  • Experience in acquisitions and disposals
  • Creative and innovative thinking is required to identify and deliver service offering improvements
  • Degree qualified in relevant discipline, and any professional Supply Chain qualifications would be advantageous

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Responsible for the development, agreement, communication, implementation and review of mid to long term strategies
  • Drive best practice throughout Croda Europe and take a leading role in adopting harmonised supply chain practices throughout Croda
  • Accountable for policy, direction and people management of multiple departments and functions with the associated budgetary control
  • Responsibility for very significant spend and control over transport, logistics and shipping costs
  • Dotted line responsibility for the provision of leadership, motivation, coaching and development of the European supply chain team across a multi-location network
  • Anticipate trends in global supply chain requirements and proactively adapt the European organisation, systems and processes
  • Develop existing systems and procure new technologies to ensure the Supply Chain delivers service and cost effectiveness
  • Structurally develop the Supply Chain asset base to effectively support the logistical product flows and commercial orientation for supply to customers globally
  • Direct the European team in all elements of Supply and Demand Management and lead the business through the transition to Integrated Business Planning
  • Develop and sustain QA systems that comply with customer expectations and regulatory controls
  • Devise and embed metrics to reflect business performance across all areas of responsibility
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with duty, tariff codes and customs requirements
