As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join the UK Finance team, based at our Cowick Hall offices in East Yorkshire.
This role will support the UK Finance Manager in ensuring that key financial processes are well-controlled and managed as well as ensuring balance sheet integrity, supporting statutory reporting and audits, and driving improvements to processes and governance.

- Newly qualified finance professional (e. g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and controls.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

- What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the UK Finance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining a robust financial control environment and supporting the delivery of high-quality financial reporting.
This role offers broad exposure to financial accounting, central cost management, and corporate reporting in a global organisation.
You will gain valuable experience in statutory reporting, financial controls, and stakeholder engagement.
- Supporting the preparation and delivery of month-end reporting.
- Prepare monthly central cost reports, providing analysis and commentary on spending performance against budget and forecast.
- Partner with budget holders and functional leaders to improve understanding of cost performance and identify opportunities for greater cost control.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and reviews, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Supporting compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, standardisation, and control.
- Complete UK VAT submissions, and other regulatory submissions.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting projects, and business initiatives as required.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring audit requests are delivered accurately and on time.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business.
