Essentials:
- Proven knowledge and experience of working in a credit control department.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of building effective working/customer relationships.
- Attention to detail to ensure work is produced to a high standard and communications/notes are accurate and up to date at all times.
- Good planning and organisation skills are required, as is self-motivation to ensure tasks are completed to deadlines set.
- A flexible ‘can do’ attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to change as business processes/systems evolve.
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in English and Maths at grades C or above.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Be part of a team that values diversity, sustainability, and continuous innovation, where your ideas and contributions matter.
- Downloading cash from the bank and posting in SAP (multiple currencies).
- Effective cash collections (emails/calls/customer relationships) to minimise overdue balances.
- Liaising with internal teams to find solutions for late payments and order/deliveries blocks.
- Credit checking new Customers and performing ongoing reviews for existing Customers.
- Proposing (obtaining approval) and maintaining accurate credit limits and payment terms.
- Following Credit Policy, working instructions and other Company Policies.
- Assisting with month end reporting and other ad hoc requests.
