Regional Change & Communications Lead - 12 month contract

Croda is running a 2 year transformation programme to deliver £200m growth and efficiency benefits, which is highly complex, global and touches nearly all parts of the organisation. We’re looking for a Regional Change & Communications Lead to join the business on a 12-month contract. This role will lead in regional delivery, ensuring central transformation plans are translated into coordinated regional activation plans, communications are executed effectively, stakeholders are engaged, and change activity is delivered consistently across the region.
A key member of the central Transformation Change & Communications team, the role will lead change and communications activities for EMEA while working flexibly across other regions as business needs evolve. The role will also work closely with the Group Internal Communications & Engagement team to ensure a consistent narrative, alignment of communication channels and campaigns, and adherence to corporate communication standards.
Who we're looking for:
- Strong experience in change communications, stakeholder engagement, regional activation planning or transformation delivery.
- Ability to translate central plans into practical regional delivery plans, balancing global consistency with local relevance and business readiness.
- Skilled in developing and maintaining communications plans, updates, engagement materials, action trackers and progress reporting.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships with regional leaders, HR, business stakeholders, Workstream Leads and Initiative Leads.
- Able to coordinate activities across multiple initiatives, functions and business areas, managing sequencing, priorities and potential overlap.
- Able to identify emerging risks, resistance themes and engagement opportunities, and to share insight, lessons learned and best practice across regions.
- Confident working with templates, toolkits and ways of working, supporting continuous improvement and consistency across the Change & Communications function.
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in communications, change management, HR, organisational development, business, project delivery or a related discipline.
- Change management, communications, project management or organisational development qualification or equivalent practical experience would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain continuity between central Change & Communications plans and regional delivery activity, ensuring plans are practical, sequenced and aligned to regional business readiness.
- Partner with Workstream Leads, Initiative Leads, business stakeholders and Regional OD Partners to coordinate local delivery activity and ensure adoption actions are integrated into regional business plans.
- Support rollout and embedding of central change interventions, communications campaigns, business readiness surveys and post-implementation sustainment activity.
- Drive ownership of change in BAU by supporting effective regional activation, stakeholder engagement, progress tracking and escalation of risks or conflicting priorities
- Maintain regional communications plans in alignment with central plans, messaging and campaign activity.
- Tailor central messaging and campaigns for regional audiences where required, while maintaining consistency across transformation initiatives.
- Produce and distribute regional communication materials and updates in line with central plans, materials and agreed approaches.
- Coordinate communication activity across functions and business areas, supporting leaders and stakeholders to engage at the right points in the change lifecycle.
- Facilitate two-way communication between the Regional Change Network and the central team, gathering feedback on communications effectiveness and adoption activity.
- Provide regular reporting on regional activity, progress, risks and issues to regional stakeholders, the central team and Workstream PM as required.
Additional Information
- This is a regional role so therefore the location is flexible within EMEA. The post holder expected to work closely with regional business stakeholders and the central Change & Communications team including other regional leads.
- The role may require flexibility to support regional time zones, key transformation milestones, go-lives, leadership forums and stakeholder engagement activity.
- The post holder will be expected to work in a matrix environment, partnering across central teams, regional teams, HR, Workstream Leads, Initiative Leads and Change Networks.
