Concrete Repairs Limited (CRL) is the UKs leading specialist contractor for the management of concrete structures and buildings. Established for over 65 years, our professional, innovative service sets the standards in the industry for others to follow.
We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our team and work on clean water frameworks. This role involves overseeing and managing smaller projects or sections of larger projects, ensuring quality, safety, stakeholder relationships and programming requirements are met. You will also support the Contracts or Project Manager on contractual and commercial matters in line with company objectives and procedures.
As our Site Manager you will be responsible for:
- Managing sites to achieve financial, safety, quality and environmental targets
- Pre-starting planning and liaison with estimators
- Supervising site staff, operatives, subcontractors and suppliers
- Developing PSHEQP, method statements, risk assessments and instructions for site teams
- Delegating duties to engineering and site staff
- Liaising with clients, consulting engineers, surveyors and subcontractors
- Ensuring compliance with company SHEQ procedures
- Planning, programming and resourcing site activities
- Maintaining accurate site records including diaries, measurement sheets and as-built drawings
- Implementing quality procedures and ensure QC testing and records are completed
- Providing technical advice to site staff and feedback to estimators
- Ordering and approving materials, plant and subcontract purchases
- Monitoring and controlling site costs and assist with claims and variations
- Supporting HR and Training with recruitment, onboarding and development of operatives
- Authorising holidays, absences and expenses for operatives
- Promoting innovation, value and uncompromising health and safety standards
- Motivating and mentoring operatives while maintaining professionalism and integrity
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience managing construction sites in a similar role
- Clean water experience on service reservoir frameworks such as United Utilities, Anglian Water, Severn Trent or Yorkshire Water
- Knowledge of current contract forms (NEC / JCT), CDM Regulations and SHEQ procedures
- Strong planning, programming and financial acumen
- Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
- Collaborative approach with clients, supply chain and colleagues
- SMSTS
- CSCS Gold or Black Card
- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction (achieved or working towards)
- Full UK Driving Licence
