We are looking for a motivated and practical individual to join CRL Surveys as a Probationary Survey Technician.
This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start a career within the construction, surveying or engineering industry. Previous surveying experience is not essential, as full in-house and on-the-job training will be provided.
The Role
Working alongside our experienced Survey Technicians, you will learn how to carry out a range of specialist surveying, investigation, sampling and testing activities across a variety of sites.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with site surveys, inspections and investigations.
- Learning to use specialist surveying, scanning and testing equipment.
- Assisting with core sampling, dust and lump sampling and carbonation testing.
- Correctly handling, labelling and storing samples.
- Using computers and digital equipment to record and maintain accurate information.
- Checking, maintaining and looking after surveying equipment and site kit.
- Supporting stock control and the ordering of plant, materials and consumables.
- Liaising professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Following company Health & Safety procedures, including PPE, CoSHH and site safety requirements.
- Ensuring a high standard of quality and professionalism is maintained at all times.

- Full UK Driving Licence essential
A background or qualification in construction, civil engineering, surveying, geography, geology, science or another related subject would be advantageous, but is not essential.
