A leading global organisation is seeking a PeopleSoft Financials Senior Analyst to provide high‑level functional support across its PeopleSoft 8.4 Finance environment. This role supports users across the USA and Western Europe, acting as the escalation point for complex issues, enhancements, and process improvements while partnering with an offshore AMS team. If you enjoy ownership, problem‑solving, and being the go‑to SME for GL processes, this role offers both impact and visibility. With a future transition to SAP planned, there is also potential for this position to evolve into a long‑term SAP opportunity.
Role & Responsibilities
- Acting as the subject matter expert for PeopleSoft GL, covering journals, ledgers, allocations, reporting, intercompany, and reconciliations.
- Ensuring the ongoing maintenance and stability of the GL, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Supporting incidents, queries, and service requests escalated from the AMS team.
- Troubleshooting complex functional issues and coordinating with technical teams when required.
- Supporting integrated modules including AP, AR, and PO.
- Working with Finance stakeholders across EMEA and the US to resolve issues and deliver improvements.
- Collaborating on VAT‑related or cross‑module changes.
- Preparing data and supporting activities for the future SAP migration.
- Participating in testing cycles for PeopleSoft and SAP where needed.
- Performing high‑level month‑end and year‑end GL checks.
- Building strong relationships with Business Users and providing guidance on reporting, audits, and operational tasks.
- Gathering requirements, prioritising requests, and raising change requests as appropriate.
- Working closely with global PeopleSoft teams and wider IT stakeholders.
Skills/Experience
Essential
- Strong experience with PeopleSoft 8.4 Finance and General Ledger.
- Solid understanding of GL processes and integrations with AP/AR/PO.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Confident communicator with both Finance and IT stakeholders.
- SQL skills.
Desirable
- Experience with PeopleSoft AR, Inventory, Asset Management, or Project Costing.
- Financial acumen or background in finance.
- Knowledge of UK and European VAT.
- Experience with ITSM / incident management tools.
