Crittall Windows Ltd is the world leader in the manufacture of hand crafted, beautiful steel windows and doors that grace some of the finest buildings across the globe. As part of our growth plan, and to meet demand for our iconic products, we are seeking to appoint a full time Commercial Assistant, based at our head office in Witham. Purpose: Reporting to the Managing Surveyor and Head of Operations, you will support the commercial management of projects from pre-contract through to final account. You will play a key role in cost control, contract administration, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and in line with contractual requirements.

Internal Contacts: Expected to be capable of participating in discussions and meetings with Peers, Senior Managers and Directors.

External Contacts: Architects, Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, External Advisors.

Roles, Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend meetings and undertake site visits.
  • Prepare and submit valuations to live contracts.
  • Assist in the administration and negotiation of final accounts.
  • Support contract administration and cost control procedures.
  • Identify and help manage commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Act in the best commercial interests of the business at all times.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
  • Creative and innovative approach to problem solving.
  • Communicate and work collaboratively and professionally with other individuals and teams at all levels.
  • Show high levels of adaptability to meet new challenges effectively and timely.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management.
  • Analytical with clear and concise reporting skills.
