Overview: Major Automotive OEM leading the way with EV and Hybrid technology.
Overall Purpose of Job: Oversee all aspects of tactical planning including:
- Development and delivery of Quarterly Sales Campaigns in accordance with retained contribution margins, including above the line tactical and volume bonus related programmes.
- Analyse and report on the business and competitor sales performance reporting on specific trends within the market place.
- Working with the Director of Logistics to plan and maintain new car stock.
- Maintenance of annual sales plan document, adjusting according to requirements.
- Submission of overlays to support business requirements.
Main Activities / tasks:
- In conjunction with the Director of Product and Planning, develop all key above the line national promotions across Retail and Motability sales channels.
- Ensure that commercial policy terms align with required key business objectives including dealer margin, volume related bonus levels and demonstrator support.
- Develop accurate short, medium and long range sales forecasts by model and channel for business planning and production volumes taking all variables into account.
- Report on variances and develop strategic solutions to address any deviation from plan.
- Act as the industry expert, supporting all other departments including all aspects of above the line promotions.
- Research and develop proposals for new customer offers such as finance, insurance and servicing.
- Work closely with colleagues from Finance to ensure both acquisition and retention strategies are optimised.
- Produce quarterly sales campaign documents and formulate overlays as and when required to be communicated to dealer network.
- Work with Product Manager to ensure new vehicle launches are supported with correct launch offers versus competitor basket.
- Align with Product Manager in production of quarterly Cost of Contract report and index position across retail and Motability.
- Work with finance team to review contribution margin and incentive spend in line with business objectives.
Specific requirements:
- Strong analytical planning and organisational skills.
- Commercial experience in a field based or head office role.
- Automotive knowledge and experience, ideally from an OEM.
- Presentation skills / influencing ability.
- Project management skills.
- High level of numeracy, advanced skills of Microsoft Excel.
- Efficient and exceptional attention to detail.
- Motor industry experience and wide industry knowledge.
- Capable of working under pressure and tight deadlines.
