Overview:

Working for a fast growing automotive OEM with strong UK heritage now at the forefront of EV and Hybrid technology.

Overall purpose of job:

  • Management of all aspects of the Supply Chain including:
    • Manage the contractual relationships between the business and its shipping agents, Port of Entry and Delivery companies, ensuring all contracts are in place and KPIs being met.
    • Working with Finance and Legal Dept to ensure all tax and legislative requirements are met.
    • Develop the IT infrastructure between the factory and Dealer Network in order to deliver best in class functionality and accuracy of delivery schedules.
    • Lead all aspects of the supply chain, ensuring adequate vehicle coverage to meet sales targets, stock control measures and suitable ageing stock policies.
    • Identification of opportunities to improve existing service levels and costs from contractors.
    • Development of new facilities.
    • Delivery of Central Stocking to optimize stock availability for sale.

Main Activities/tasks:

  • Supply Chain Management:
    • Lead the VOD team to ensure dealer queries are responded to and actioned within agreed SLAs.
    • Ensuring the timely availability of vehicles to the Dealer network in order for sales and profit targets to be met.
    • Support and work alongside Product team to ensure effective vehicle run out and new vehicle launch, ensuring that all gateways and milestones are achieved.
    • Work with all internal stakeholders, to ensure overall business requirements are met in terms of supply.
    • Work with IT to develop best in class customer facing logistics systems.
    • Management of KPIs.
    • Development of a new facilities with existing and new partners.
    • Develop and implement aged stock policies at all storage compounds.
    • Manage internal & external communications advising of current supply situations, including backorders and production constraints.
    • Support Sales Operations Executive in running the monthly production order meetings.
    • Provide business insight and reporting on all key areas of supply (stocking, lead times, coverage etc).
    • Support Sales Operations Executive future forecast plan to ensure correct model and powertrain coverage.

Personal Specification:

  • Logistics planning experience, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Highly numerate with good PC skills and advanced Excel skills.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Commercial experience of import taxation and legislative requirements associated with the importation of products from around the world.
  • Strong project management and analysis skills.
  • Budget management and cost control skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a wide scope of activities.
  • Efficient and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Motor industry experience preferable.
  • Capable of working under pressure and tight deadlines.
