A Zone Manager role for a leading automotive finance provider, responsible for managing a portfolio of dealers across Cambridgeshire.

PURPOSE SUMMARY: The Zone Manager will be responsible for the sale and promotion of all Auto Finance products and services into the respective geographic zone Cambridge and locality. Responsibilities include:

  • Achievement of targets within the territory and management and development of retailers.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and providing workable profitable solutions to maximise these opportunities.
  • Providing finance solutions for the respective retailers, ensuring growth in profitability and penetration, and developing all aspects of the Finance and Insurance process within the geographic zone.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Maximising volume and profit opportunities within all areas of the geographic zone, working with respective retailers.
  • Maximising opportunities for the sale of additional products and services to retail customers proposed by the retailers in the zone.
  • Maximising opportunities for the sale of all value-added products (VAPs) including GAP, SMART Insurance, EV wallbox, Warranty and Service Plans.
  • Working with respective retailers on contract renewals to maximise performance.
  • Identifying and implementing Finance and Insurance Development Programmes with respective retailers.
  • Implementing recommendations through recruitment, training, Finance and Insurance monitoring, structuring pay plans and incentives with retailer senior personnel.
  • Agreeing participation in any promoted incentive programs with retailers.
  • Providing expert and prompt advice to the retailer network regarding various insurance products.
  • Identifying and maximising business from new markets to improve penetration and profitability.
  • Identifying and promoting new wholesale finance opportunities through the retailer network.
  • Producing detailed business plans for the designated territory outlining development actions.
  • Reporting and monitoring key performance areas via management systems.
  • Completing Retailer Reviews and monitoring performance targets within the territory.
  • Training retailers to be competent with systems and processes.
  • Preparing and presenting retailer pricing.
  • Identifying and developing new business channels.
  • Participating in cross-functional business projects as required.
  • Actively participating in departmental meetings.
  • Adhering to Financial Conduct Authority and Office of Fair Trading regulations.
  • Other duties as reasonably required by management.

This is a field-based role, which may require overnight stays and periods away from home.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Educated to at least A level standard or equivalent.
  • An in-depth knowledge of retail finance products.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • The ability to train groups of staff.
  • Ability to present to retailers in relation to all aspects of F&I including staff coaching.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • A high degree of self-motivation and time management skills.
  • The ability to manage own diary and prioritise.
