This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CHP/Gas Engine Engineer to join a growing business that delivers exceptional service to a wide range of clients across various industries. As this role comes with no on-call rota, it would suit someone looking to cut down on their hours and have a better work/life balance.

Package:

  • No-callout Rota
  • Basic salary of £50,000 - £55,000 (dependent on experience)
  • 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays
  • Company vehicle/fuel card provided

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain CHP gas power generation systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
  • Conduct routine and preventative maintenance on CHP equipment and associated systems
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues to minimise system downtime
  • Perform performance testing and analysis for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure seamless plant operations
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, operational data, and reports
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations
  • Assist with generator installations and commissioning
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their development
  • Manage maintenance spares cost-effectively
  • Schedule and coordinate services across multiple sites
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and site contractors

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in CHP gas power generation systems
  • Multi-gas engine power plant experience
  • Familiarity with Siemens Gauscor, M.W.M, M.A.N., and PSI/Ford gas engine products
  • Experience with control system modifications and diagnostics
  • Mechanical overhaul expertise
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role
