When technical questions come in from the contractor, you know which ones you can address and which ones you route to the subject matter experts within your organisation. You will lead the engineering assurance of CCS design and construction against the client's technical requirements, standards and specifications, supported by Senior CCS engineers in dedicated technical assurance roles.

You will manage interfaces between the CCS contracts and the wider railway systems contracts, including stations, civils, power and telecommunications.

You will communicate technical requirements to the supply chain clearly, respond to contractor queries, and make sure that design, construction and commissioning outputs meet what was asked for.

You will know how to manage the interface between client requirements and contractor engineering, and how to provide technical direction without micromanaging the supply chain's own designers.

Experience of multi-discipline coordination, working alongside civils, systems integration, power and telecoms engineers, is important.
