Overview
We're working with a major client at the heart of Britain's high-speed rail infrastructure programme, recruiting a Configuration Controller to sit at the centre of the technical change process.
Responsibilities
- Register, check, coordinate and track Technical Change Requests and Technical Authority Communications from initiation through to board approval and implementation.
- Prepare submission packs, report on progress weekly, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Act as focal point for technical change across multiple contracts running simultaneously, collaborating daily with engineers, project teams and commercial managers, chasing progress, resolving blockers and keeping stakeholders informed.
- Maintain work instructions and training material that underpin the process.
- Provide hands‑on support to Configuration Managers when contract baselines and submissions are updated.
Qualifications
- Experience in a structured change control environment within a large, complex programme.
- Strong understanding of configuration management standards, document management and CM tooling.
- Comfortable managing data at volume and pace.
- Excellent engagement skills across diverse teams with clarity and confidence.
Position Details
Location: Birmingham or London, with flexibility between both sites.
Contract: Permanent.
