A London Borough is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to oversee its Building Management System (BMS) platforms and ensure effective operation, maintenance, and strategic management of mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee existing BMS platforms, ensuring prompt repair orders for breakdowns.
- Collaborate with internal and external engineers to maintain plant and equipment connected to the BMS in line with council strategy.
- Provide expert input on mechanical and BMS strategy, recommending system improvements.
- Design and implement BMS strategies for commercial/communal heating systems.
- Manage the existing BMS platform and generate daily BMS management reports.
- Lead projects related to communal heating, low–carbon mechanical installations, and heat networks.
- Produce technical reports relevant to mechanical and BMS operations.
- Apply problem–solving skills to engineering design and maintenance challenges.
- Plan, program, and deliver projects on time and within budget, demonstrating strong project management and contract administration skills.
Requirements:
- In–depth technical knowledge of BMS systems and other remote–controlled engineering systems.
- Ability to design, manage, and optimise BMS platforms.
