The Romo Group is hiring a visual communications assistant to join its team in London. We are looking for a trend-aware, proactive visual communications assistant to join us at a pivotal moment. With a major rebrand underway, we need a marketeer with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics, someone with a passion for design who instinctively “gets” our direction and can help us create the right impression.
This isn’t just a desk job; you’ll be getting stuck into everything from high-level concept meetings and on-set shoot coordination to the nitty-gritty of video editing and premium packaging. You have one to two years of marketing experience and a natural eye for what makes a brand feel current.
Key responsibilities:- end-to-end video: own the video lifecycle. You’ll brainstorm, storyboard, and execute final edits in partnership with our in-house videographer to produce engaging visual stories.
- content engine: create “simple” but high-impact Reels and TikToks from our extensive bank of footage to keep our feed active, while our in-house videographer focuses on long-form/complex edits.
- social mastery: organise the Instagram grid and Stories, ensuring all captions are on-brand and communicating our product messaging effectively.
- shoot support: provide essential behind-the-scenes support to our in-house stylist. You’ll handle shoot preparation, coordinate with prop stylists, and help maintain visual consistency on set.
- the “final look”: oversee the post-production pipeline. Labelling images, creating cutting sheets for retouching, and following up on final assets.
- inspo and story: develop inspiration documents for brand talks and presentations to communicate our story visually.
- email marketing: coordinate and execute email e-blasts with our in-house marketing team.
- print and events: help the in-house visual merchandising team organise brand events and manage the production/organisation of our physical brochures and printed images for our pattern books etc.
- collaborations: identify and contact potential collaborators for “unusual” projects (e.g., our COAT partnership) to keep the brand evolving.
- the “onboxing”: marketing doesn’t end online. You’ll help oversee the presentation of finished products, including sew-in labels and premium packaging.
- one to two years in a marketing role with a strong portfolio of visual work.
- you are proactive, have heaps of initiative, and stay ahead of design and social media trends.
- you can edit video quickly and aesthetically. You’re comfortable with marketing platforms and have a “perfectionist” eye for detail.
- you are easygoing and happy to “get stuck in,” whether that’s at a photoshoot or organising a spreadsheet of image labels.
Show us what you’ve got! Please include a portfolio of your work (link or PDF) with your application. In your cover letter, tell us what draws you to this position and how your design style aligns with our brand.
