De La Espada is looking for a territory manager to join its sales team in London/remotely. Type: full-time Location: London, working from home.
De La Espada is a globally recognised furniture brand with a unique approach to creativity in the Portuguese design scene, combining generations-old craft wisdom with research-led modern design. At our workshop in Portugal, craftspeople specialising in woodcraft and upholstery work closely with our in-house design studio and with leading international designers, some of whom are among the most important people in the world of interior design. We have customers all over the world, many of whom are preeminent interior designers and architects, and also nurture an extensive wholesale network.
As territory manager, you will play a key role in managing and growing our network of dealers and A&D clients in Asia, Australia and the Middle East. You will build relationships with specifiers of high-end residential and hospitality projects while also supporting and growing our existing wholesale network. You will work closely with our head of sales and our team in London and Portugal. This role is primarily work-from-home. You will also host clients at our new townhouse in London’s St John’s Wood neighbourhood.
Key responsibilities:- Manage and grow existing wholesale accounts, offering support, training, annual marketing planning, display and sales targets, and more to build long-term partnerships.
- Identify, develop, and on-board new wholesale partners in Asia, Australia, and ME.
- Meet sales targets, provide sales forecasts, maintain a leads tracker and CRM, and execute timely follow-up.
- Have your finger on the pulse of the interior design scene and build and maintain strong relationships with specifiers, interior designers, architects, and hospitality and industry professionals in the region.
- Represent the brand at design fairs, gallery events, and in client presentations with polish, warmth, and authority.
- The ideal candidate is someone with a passion for design and craft, business instincts, and the ability to represent the brand at the highest level.
- At least five years’ of work experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A good eye for detail and design.
- A history of meeting and exceeding objectives including sales targets.
- Can-do attitude, self-motivated, and able to work autonomously.
- Organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Travel includes one significant trip per quarter, along with visits to Portugal and other key company events in Europe.
