We're working with a top-tier creative studio to find a Motion Designer who understands that motion is core to a brand system, not something bolted on at the end. This is a hands‑on role sitting close to the Creative Director and design team, where you'll be shaping how brand identities move, behave, and express themselves. That means developing motion principles and system behaviours from the ground up.

The studio works with technology companies, startups, and challenger brands, so you'll need a portfolio that reflects that world. They're looking for someone with a refined sense of timing and composition, strong craft, and the ability to use motion to communicate hierarchy, personality, and intent, not just make things look slick. It is not a job for a motion technician/executioner.

You're the kind of designer who thinks about motion as a design system rather than a finishing touch; this could be a strong fit. After Effects and Figma are essential.

How to apply: Ideally, we want to see Figma decks with motion projects broken open, demonstrating the process as well as the outcome.

Understand the Brand's Motion Principles

Before the interview, research the brands the studio has worked with and think about how you would approach their motion design. Be ready to discuss how you can develop motion principles that align with their brand identities, showcasing your refined sense of timing and composition.

Communicate Your Design Philosophy

Be prepared to articulate your design philosophy regarding motion. Explain how you see motion as a way to communicate hierarchy, personality, and intent, rather than just a finishing touch. This will help you connect with the Creative Director and show that you’re on the same wavelength.
