Marc Newson is hiring a press and social media coordinator to join its team in London. This is an opportunity to work within a globally respected creative studio with an exceptionally varied portfolio of projects. The role would suit someone with approximately three to five years’ relevant experience, ideally within a creative studio, design-led business or luxury brand environment. We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and detail-focused candidate with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social media instincts and a genuine interest in design and culture.

The role spans press coordination, content development, social media management, launches, exhibitions and wider project communications, and would suit someone who enjoys balancing both creative and administrative responsibilities within a fast-paced studio environment.

  • Act as first point of contact for press enquiries and requests
  • Maintain the studio’s archive and published Press Library
  • Oversee Instagram account, with a focus on proactive content management and content development
  • Coordinate and attend press interviews relating to individual projects
  • Oversee PR strategies for projects, working directly with clients’ communications teams
  • Support the planning and coordination of launches, events, awards and exhibitions
  • Monitor media coverage and suggest proactive press opportunities
  • Maintain studio’s internal databases relating to press and communications
  • Production of written content relating to Press and social media, including, but not limited to, press quotations, social media captions, website text and project communications
  • Provide administrative assistance to the projects manager and studio coordinator as required

General requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Relevant work experience, ideally in a similar role for three to five years
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel)
  • Polished written and spoken English with the ability to copywrite
  • Excellent organisational skills; detail-focused
  • Ability to work independently and to balance numerous ongoing activities in a busy and complex environment
  • Fluency in English; additional languages such as French or Italian would be beneficial

This is an office-based role in our Central London studio. Potential for part- or full-time hours as sought by the ideal candidate.
